Blue Dolphin

The nearest beach to Blue Dolphin is in the nearby resort of Filey, just 2 miles away. Largely undeveloped, the beach offers perfect sand backed by low cliffs of boulder clay. Take a family stroll along the shore down to the great little café at Hunmanby Gap and beyond to the start of Flamborough Cliffs. A short walk along the beach takes you to the rockpools of Filey Brigg which is famous for its angling.

Filey is a traditional English seaside town well known for the quality of its Fish & Chip shops. It has been a seaside resort since Edwardian times and a fishing village for much longer. It is smaller and more refined than Bridlington and Scarborough and there is much less noisy development on the sea front. Hours of fun await you in this idyllic and picturesque coastal setting.

Just north of Blue Dolphin Holiday Park lies the famous seaside resort of Scarborough, the largest and best-known of its kind on the Yorkshire coast. Hours of fun are to be found in this beautiful, traditional coastal town, including the golden sand by the rugged cliffs.

Just a short drive from Blue Dolphin is Flamingo Land, a major Theme Park and Zoo, with over 100 family rides and countless animals. Don't worry, they're all covered by the single price admission.

Unbeatable for remote landscapes, way-marked walks, good country pubs and Heritage sites, the North Yorkshire Moors are a huge favourite with active groups. Also traversed by a great steam railway.

In Whitby you can count the many steps to the Abbey, and enjoy the fantastic views over this historic port from where Captain Cook set sail.
