Every May for the past few years they have taken over up to 15 caravans so the whole family can enjoy some quality time together – and have a unforgettable holiday at the same time.
In charge of the annual get-togethers is Michael Barnett of Twickenham and his sister Brenda Matthews of Hounslow. “It all started at their niece Ruth’s wedding in Bury St Edmonds some years ago when the Bride Groom challenged the Bride's Father to a game of golf,” said Michael.
“We decided to make a family annual holiday break of it with some of the family staying at Hopton Holiday Village on the Norfolk coast. I come from a big family with four brothers and four sisters and it’s great we can all get together.
“For the last four years we have been to Church Farm. The team there and at Haven work so hard for us, and there’s something for the whole family. There’s a nine-hole golf course on the Park and we play two rounds of golf at Chichester Golf Club where we also have a big family meal together – all 70 of us."
“In the evenings at Church Farm the children can go and watch the live shows in the entertainment venue, and the older ones can go to the bingo or enjoy the restaurant and bar. Quite a few members of our family are fans of Haven holidays and I’ve already booked our caravans at Church Farm for next year. Our first choice for holidays is always Haven.”
